My Angels

I spent the weekend hanging out with my siblings and their kids camping at my parents’ farm. There is no place I’d rather be. Watching them run all over in those same trees and fields that we ran through when we were kids is the best feeling there is! We spent time talking and laughing and remembering days gone by. We vowed to have many more weekends like that. It’s so beautiful there.

They sure get along well and love being together. I always think of them all as my angels because they are the ones who will continue our family’s story much farther than I ever could!

Colby – tall, farmer-to-be – reminds me so much of my dad, a natural at everything he does
Rebecca – beautiful dreamer, not afraid to get her hands dirty, the oldest girl looking out for everyone
Trent – goofy and full of laughter and an adventurous soul, friend to anyone
Lucas – quiet, but so quick to giggle at the strangest things; it’s the quiet ones you have to keep an eye on πŸ˜‰
Jasper – wise at such a young age, the brains behind their schemes and plans; loves all creatures great and small
Logan – sweet and gentle, yet rough and ready to rumble; but always ready to sneak a hug when no one is looking!
Anika – the biggest adventurer of them all, always ready to try something new, watch out world!
Giselle – her small frame hides her big heart; running around with a smile that seems to say, “I know something you don’t…and it’s all good…”

These 8 (and their big cousin, who couldn’t make it this weekend) are sure ready to take on the world…I just hope it’s ready for them! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to see what they can accomplish! Love you, my angels!

This song came on the radio this morning and I smiled, thinking of my own angels:
