Today was Friday Coffee Party at work…this usually involves a lot of tempting “junk food” type items, and sometimes some good veggies and fruits. However, it was also my department’s turn, so that way I was in control of at least the item I would be bringing!
No School again today. The kids are doing OK as far as TV goes – they are watching a few movies though, instead of just one. They are doing a lot of other activities that they haven’t done for awhile. Rebecca even made lunch for everyone, which was nice to go home for lunch to! They are trying to keep with the no refined sugar plan still.
Breakfast: 1 slice whole grain toast with a little butter, 1 over easy egg, some salsa, 1 breakfast sausage – the kids had vegetable soup while I was at work – odd, but whatever.
a.m. Snack: celery and Rick’s Rockin’ Hummus that I made this morning. 1 bite-size piece of bread with homemade tomato salsa
Lunch: “Catelli Healthy Choice” linguine with a little melted cheddar cheese & fresh tomato – Rebecca made this for us today!
p.m. Snack: 1/2 apple-pear and then later some more celery and hummus
Supper: BBQ steak (no sauce), spaghetti squash with Parmesan, salad with balsamic vinaigrette, baked tomato with sprinkle mozzarella
I only had 1 latte this morning (I never put sugar in my latte – just espresso and 1% milk). I did have 1 cup of black coffee at work. I remembered to drink water throughout the day and with my meals.
There were a few times today where a craved sugar. I was surprised how I really, really wanted it…I wasn’t expecting that since I am still eating a lot of my normal food. I didn’t realize how much I must have been having here and there. The true test will be the weekend…I get the munchies when I’m at home…
